Another example of pareidolia is
found in
the Cydonia
region of Mars, in
picture taken by the Viking mission:

Many people in the public siezed on this,
calling it the "Face on Mars." I admit --
it looks a lot like a face.
But which is more likely -- a sculpted
face on Mars, left there for us to
observe ...
... or a rock that, when seen at a funny
angle, looks like a face?
