That's why we are all star stuff: every element
in the Universe
heavier than helium (and even some helium)
was produced inside a star.
The stuff that makes up planets is just a
small fraction of the total matter in
the Universe.
And (as we will see) the stuff that makes
up life is just a small fraction of the
stuff that makes up planets.
