Some folks argue that the Egyptian pyramids were built by aliens.

One argument is that the height of the Great Pyramid of Cheops, times 1,000,000,000, is equal to the distance between the Earth and the Sun (meters -> km).

The height is 146.7 meters, so that would make the distance around 147,000,000 km -- not too bad, since the actual distance is 149,600,000 km. The argument is that since the ancient Egyptians could not have known this distance, the pyramids therefore must have been built by aliens.
