Galaxies, cosmology, and the scale of the Universe

There appear to be superstructures of galaxies on enormous scales: clusters and voids.

The "Great Wall" shown here is around 100 million light years deep and 400 million light years across. There are 9325 galaxies in this figure, which shows a much smaller part of the sky than the previous figure.
